January has been full of snow and fun.Pat didn’t have to student teach for an entire week.
Riley and I loved it. However, the real fun hit on Thursday and Friday 1/21 and 1/22. At the end of the week we got close to 4 feet and enjoyed playing in the snow. Snow, snow days, friends, and hot chocolate…It couldn’t get better!
We had a lot of fun building caves and tunnels. It is also quite interesting to hear what others say about you. You, meaning married couples playing in the snow like children. We were called both gerbils and gofers. Or something along the line of little furry creatures that have burrows. Despite being little animals we all had a really good time and memories that will last forever.
Pat is not one to play calmly. He spent his time jumping off of stairs, roofs, railings, and mounds of snow.
A slight slip and off into the snow you go.

For those of you wondering, we are surving the snow storms. We had plenty of food, warmth, and fun. Here are some of the snow pictures taken at our apt.

Christmas Time
So I just found this amazing picture of my Grammie and Grandad at Christmas time. We always perform the nativity scene from the scriptures and this year they were Marry and Joseph. However, it is a cowboy version of Joseph. My Gradaddy is not one to go without his cowboy hat or pocket knife. The memories are priceless.

My first time giving a haircut
Pat finely decided that I could cut his hair, you know, one of those money saving ideas that us poor married people have. At first it was a terrible idea but after trial and error it wasn’t so bad.
Pat's Hair Cut
The completed look and I didn’t have to shave it all off. I am quite proud. Take that beauty school!

Recap of 2009
Life has been wonderful this past year. We have had so many adventures as a family. Riley came at the end of December and gave us a lovely tax return. For Spring Break we went to Utah to visit Jack, Wendy, and their amazing 4 boys (Wendy was pregos with boy #5). It was a lot of fun. Summer soon came and Riley and I played outside almost everyday while Daddy worked. Pat and I also took summer classes. To give us a break from school, my amazing in-laws took us to California where we enjoyed time with cousins.
A special time of the year was at the 4th of July. My dad's mom "Nana" came to Eagar to see all of us. It was the last time many of us saw her before she passed away and rejoined Papa. During the 4th of July holliday, so many activities took place. Brady and Jack brought their families. The 4th celebration took off with pancake breakfast, parade, visiting Grammie and Grandaddy house, crawdad fishing, and fire works. However, each day was a blast. We had smores, duch oven cooking, and many laughs.
Fall semester soon started and ended. Pat and I become pregnant again, and Halloween, and Thanksgiving came and left us with Christmas. Riley didn't much care for here presents but the wrapping paper and the other kid's toys (Jack's kids) were much better. There was a lot of food, fun, and playing in the snow. Riley turned 1 Dec. 12/28. The laughs we got were priceless. What a wonderful year, and this year, hopefully I update my blog more than once:)
